At volume it is level: Appyflow's ₹0.40/request (once you have spent ₹1,000 with them) and our ₹0.40/lookup on the 6,250-credit pack. Below that, Appyflow's flat ₹0.50 beats our 250-credit Starter pack at ₹0.80 — if you will only ever run a few hundred lookups, that is the cheaper paid option, though the up-to-100 free lookups every account gets here cover most of that ground before anyone pays.
Mind what each price buys, though. That ₹0.40 buys a GSTIN verification. The same key on gstinapi.in also answers whether the taxpayer has been filing their returns — full GSTR-1/GSTR-3B filing history, a compliance summary, their monthly-vs-quarterly filing frequency, and whether they're enabled for e-invoicing — at the same published credit prices. We haven't found published self-serve pricing for those capabilities from anyone else in this table; where they exist at all, they're behind a sales call. If you're verifying vendors to protect input tax credit, "the GSTIN exists" is half the question — "are they filing?" is the half that actually predicts trouble.
Here's the part that number doesn't show: every provider above has its own signup flow, its own key format, its own quirks in what a "not found" response looks like. Evaluating six of them properly — not just reading pricing pages, but actually integrating and testing each — is easily a day of engineering time you don't get back. At the volumes where ₹0.10/lookup starts to matter, you already know your usage pattern; most people don't at the point they're comparing. You can be making real calls against your own GSTINs with gstinapi.in in the next five minutes, free, and revisit the price question once you actually have volume to negotiate with — nothing here locks you in or expires.

On published, self-serve pricing it is a tie at the top: Appyflow's ₹0.40/request once you have spent ₹1,000 with them, and gstinapi.in's ₹0.40/lookup on the 6,250-credit pack (₹2,499). At small volumes Appyflow's flat ₹0.50 is below our ₹0.80 Starter pack, and we'd rather tell you that than hide it. Two things the per-call number doesn't capture: gstinapi.in gives every account up to 100 free lookups that never expire, and the same key also serves return-filing history, a compliance summary, filing frequency and e-invoice status — capabilities we haven't found at any published self-serve price elsewhere in this table.
Of the providers in this table, gstinapi.in is the only one we found with a dedicated return-filing endpoint at a published, self-serve price (Appyflow's docs list a filing field, but its example response shows it empty): GET /v1/gstin/{gstin}/returns lists every GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B filed in a financial year with dates and ARNs, and /compliance summarises it (filed counts, last period, average filing lag). Full-suite GSPs like Masters India sell GST return APIs to enterprises, but behind a sales conversation rather than a price list. For vendor-risk use cases this is usually the question that matters — a GSTIN can be 'Active' and months behind on filings.
Of the six providers here, only gstinapi.in, Appyflow and gstincheck.co.in list per-call prices on their own site. Cashfree, Surepass, Masters India and Deepvue require contacting sales for a GST-specific quote — reasonable for enterprise deals, slower if you just want to try an API today.
Size and shelf life. Most providers' trials are 20–50 requests, sometimes with an expiry window. gstinapi.in gives every account up to 100 lookups — 25 on signup and 25 for each of three dashboard setup steps — with no card, and the credits never expire — so you can evaluate at your own pace instead of against a trial clock, and anything left over is still there when you come back.
We fetched each provider's own public pricing/product page on August 9, 2026 and report what it said, with a link to the source so you can check it yourself and catch us if a competitor has since changed their price.
