Generate a consolidated e-way bill (trip sheet)

POST /v1/ewaybill/consolidated

Short answer

Send the list of e-way bill numbers moving on one vehicle, where the vehicle is and the transport mode. You get one consolidated e-way bill number, the trip sheet, back.

Cost: 3 credits per successful call. A rejection or an upstream failure is never charged. One charge however many e-way bills it carries.

Every call accepts "test_mode": true and returns a sample in the live shape, free. Set up your API credentials before the first real call.

Who can add an e-way bill

You must be the generator or the assigned transporter of every e-way bill you add, and each must be active, not cancelled. One e-way bill the network does not recognise stops the whole request, with error 301.

Road, rail, air or ship

trans_mode is 1 Road, 2 Rail, 3 Air, 4 Ship. For road, send vehicle_no. For rail, air or ship, send the transport document number and date (dd/MM/yyyy) instead.

After you generate it

Read it back with the consolidated details call. If the vehicle changes, regenerate it: that issues a new number and cancels the old one.

Questions

Does it cost per e-way bill?
No. It is one charge for the trip sheet, whatever the number of e-way bills on it.
Can I use it for a transporter fleet?
Yes. As the assigned transporter of the e-way bills you can combine them. Use the transporter list to see which ones are assigned to you.
